As part of a 10 MM BBL (million barrel) crude oil export terminal, Kelley Construction was awarded the construction of 22 concrete ring-wall foundations. The South Texas Gateway Terminal is a joint venture among Buckeye Partners, Phillips 66 and Andeavor, ultimately connecting the Texas pipeline networks and oil output from the Permian Basin to the global export market. Kelley Construction’s scope of work for this project included (20) 209′ diameter ring-wall foundations as well as (1) 80′ and (1) 42′ diameter ring-wall foundations. Work performed by the Kelley Construction team included 2,300+ cubic yards of concrete, 200+ tons of rebar, and crane roads.
