Kelley Construction was selected as the foundation contractor at the Golden Gate Petroleum terminal in Sparks, Nevada. Kelley Construction was heavily involved in the foundation design phase, working to ensure the foundations meet all guidelines and specifications. The project site was restricted to one-way traffic with multiple contractors working on various aspects of the project; bordered by a rail switchyard and concrete retaining wall.
Kelley’s scope included the installation of 14 ring-wall foundations with liner and cathodic protection. Meeting project schedule and performing to Kelley’s highest safety standards; we installed 700 CY of concrete, 47 tons of rebar, 890 tons of sand, 18,500 sq.ft. of GCL liner, and 296 anchor bolts.
