Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center

Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center (BSSC), a leading ambulatory surgery center and only privately held orthopaedic outpatient surgery center in the region, expanded to a new location to better serve patients of Lexington and the Bluegrass Region. Kelley Construction was contracted to complete this 40,000 sq. ft. space, making it the largest freestanding orthopedic surgery center in Kentucky.

The project includes 8 new operating rooms, 21 pre-surgery and recovery holding bays with 2 private isolation rooms, sterilization units and Stryker Mako Robotics-Arm Assisted Systems. Some areas included Med Gas such a Instrument Air, Medical Air, Vacuum, Nitrous Oxide and Waste Anesthesia Gas.
