Kelley Construction was selected by Tarsco to construct a 62’ diameter elevated tank foundation
at Air Liquide’s ASU facility in Geismar, Louisiana. Our scope included piles, concrete columns,
and a 2’ thick slab foundation. This Liquid Oxygen tank was installed as part of a site expansion
to support the growing industry demand for oxygen, nitrogen and utilities in the region.
Working in the middle of a site expansion created a congested work environment with other
work scopes surrounding the worksite, requiring close coordination with other contractors to
ensure a safe and successful project. Overall, Kelley installed (54) 24” concrete columns, and
370 cubic yards of concrete - successfully completing this project on time and on budget.
