Kelley Construction successfully completed the civil scope of work for bottom replacement of an existing 110’ API tank in Clearbrook, MN. The Kelley team worked through the challenging winter weather conditions of Minnesota, with this project starting in November and lasting through May the following year. We also utilized an electric excavator for the internal portions of work to reduce noise and exhaust in the tight conditions.
Our team removed the existing soils and installed a new aggregate ring-wall foundation. Working below the cribbed internal floating roof and around the cribbing stacks, the Kelley team installed 460 tons of sand, the Cathodic Protection system, and 7,500 sq.ft. of fabric and leak detection.
