Kelley Construction successfully completed the construction of a new metering and RTU building in Louisville, KY. LG&E’s upgrade to their gas metering station included a 1,200 sq.ft. metering building, 140 sq.ft. regulator building, and generator pad. In addition to Kelley’s self-performed work, we managed several subcontractors.
Kelley Construction’s complete scope of work included site preparation, foundations, masonry, structural steel, 3-ton beam crane, and roofing. Due to the location within a residential area, special consideration was given to the foam insulated masonry, and ventilation system with silencer to reduce noise. This also created unique challenges with coordination of multiple contractors to prevent congestion and encroachment of neighboring land and buildings.
