Project Fit America (PFA) announced that the school had been selected as a recipient for a two-year Fitness in Education program, worth nearly $30,000 thanks to funds and efforts provided by Baptist Health Louisville and Kelley Construction.
“Baptist Health is proud to join forces with Kelley Construction and Project Fit America to bring this innovative project to life in our community,” said David Gray, President of Baptist Health Louisville.
PFA is a national public charity with the goal of supporting sustainable opportunities for kids to be active, fit and healthy. To achieve this mission, since 1990 the organization has raised more than $13 million to provide education fitness programs to more than 800 schools across the nation.
PSE was the sole recipient in the region to receive the program this year, which includes indoor and outdoor fitness equipment, teacher training, a curriculum for each grade level and lesson plan materials.
